The liposuction process is generally safe and effective, but it can also involve scarring and numbness or tingling in the affected area. Some patients may also experience temporary swelling and bruising.
For liposuction, Epifoam is recommended, which is a compression pad that attaches with silicone gel and provides uniform compression distribution, reducing bruising and swelling after surgery. In case of scarring, Prosil pin or Xeragel scar ointment is also recommended.
